The co-chairs of the committees, along with the YPLAA Chair, Chair Elect 1 & Chair Elect 2 meet monthly in order to keep the goals and objectives of YPLAA on track. The committee facilitates YPLAA events and helps brainstorm ideas for the future direction of the individual committees.

Steering Committee

Hillary Verrill, Chair

Hillary was born in Lewiston and returned to the area after nine years of traveling with her military family. Hillary earned a BA in Social and Behavioral Sciences from the University of Southern Maine’s Lewiston-Auburn College. Besides YPLAA, her community involvement includes fundraising efforts for Advocates for Children and the Maine Children’s Cancer Program along with other miscellaneous volunteer work. Hillary resides in Lewiston with her family.

Shane Wright, Isaacson & Raymond, Chair Elect 1

Shane has been an Associate Attorney at Isaacson & Raymond since September 2006. He is a native of Pittsfield, Maine and graduated from the University of Maine School of Law in May 2005. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Colby College, where he graduated in May 1994. Shane is a member of the Maine State Bar Association, and is the immediate past Chairperson and member of the Governing Council of the New Lawyers Section of the Bar Association. Shane also serves on the Professionals Division of the United Way Campaign Cabinet and sits on the Board of Directors of the Optimist Club of Lewiston/Auburn and the Building Materials Exchange. He lives in Freeport with his wife, Jennifer, and their son.

Hillary Eaton, Austin Associates, Past Chair

Hillary Flynn Eaton is the Director of Marketing and Business Development for Austin Associates, PA, CPAs. She also runs her own small business out of Great Falls Arts Center, offering original works of fine art. In addition to her involvement with YPLAA, Hillary sits on the Board of Directors of Sandcastle Clinical & Educational Services and serves as Co-Chair of the Androscoggin Chapter of the Maine Women’s Network. A native of Maine, Hillary grew up in Kingfield, studied communications and illustration at the University of Hartford, earning a B.F.A. from the Hartford Art School and is currently enrolled in the Global M.B.A. and M.S.O.L. programs at Southern New Hampshire University, Brunswick campus.

Communications Committee

Kelly David, Tri-County Mental Health, Co-Chair

Kelly David works for Tri-County Mental Health Services in the Development and Community Relations Department. A native Mainer, growing up in the Lewiston/Auburn area, Kelly earned a BA in Communications/Public Relations from St. Joseph’s College of Maine. In addition to her work with YPLAA Kelly is involved in fundraising efforts for the Dana Farber Institute for Cancer Research, is active in Maine Public Relations Council, and other various volunteer activities. Kelly resides in Greene with her husband and two sons.

Sarah Mayberry, Breathe Easy Coalition of Maine, Co-Chair

Sarah Mayberry works for the Breathe Easy Coalition of Maine as the Program Coordinator. She grew up in western Maine and earned her B.S. in Human Biology and Biochemistry from the University of Southern Maine. In addition to YPLAA, Sarah currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Breathe Easy Coalition of Maine, on the Chronic Disease Committee of the Lewiston-Auburn Public Health Committee and coaches youth soccer.

L/A Betterment Committee

Kelly Jaeger, Bonney Staffing Center, Co-Chair

Kelly is the Branch Manager for BONNEY Staffing Center in Lewiston. In addition to YPLAA Kelly is a member of the Chamber Education Committee, the Central Maine Human Resource Association (CMHRA), and has been a regular participant in the New Mainers and WorkReady programs which provide basic training and work readiness skills to the unemployed. Kelly was raised in the Lewiston/Auburn area and attended Acadia University in Nova Scotia, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. Kelly currently resides in Auburn with her son.

Networking Committee

Jen Hogan, Community Credit Union, Co-Chair

Jen is the Marketing/Business Development Director for Community Credit Union in Lewiston and Auburn. Originally from New Jersey, Jen moved to Maine during her elementary school years when her father, who was in the military, was stationed in Brunswick. Jen then went on to earn her Associates degree in Communications, with a concentration in Marketing/Advertising, from the New England School of Communications in Bangor. In addition to YPLAA, Jen serves on the Board of Directors for the Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce, the Lewiston-Auburn Rotary and Maine Women’s Network. She also serves as a volunteer for the United Way of Androscoggin County, Junior Achievement and various other Credit Union committees. Jen currently resides in Turner with her husband Nick and daughter Chase.

Jonathan LaBonte, Androscoggin Land Trust, Co-Chair

Jonathan LaBonteJonathan is the Executive Director of the Androscoggin Land Trust. He grew up in New Auburn and spent 4 years building a career to get back to the area after college. Besides YPLAA Jonathan is: Vice President – Franco American Heritage Center, on the Steering Committee – RealizeME, a Board Member – LA Trails, a Board Member – UMaine Alumni Association, on the Education Committee GrowSmart Maine, and on the Maine Trail Advisory Committee – Department of Conservation.


Personal & Professional Development Committee

Donna Martin, Employment Times/MyJobWave.com, Co-Chair

Donna Martin is an ad consultant for Employment Times and MyJobWave.com. Donna is currently working part-time towards a college degree at Central Maine Community College.  In addition to YPLAA Donna can frequently be seen volunteering her time and services to many non-profit organizations and events. Donna was raised and still resides in Lewiston with her son.
