In fall of 2006 our group began meeting monthly to discuss issues affecting young professionals in the Lewiston/Auburn area. We named ourselves The Betterment Committee – our goal to make L/A a better place to live, work & play. We seek to advocate for public policies that promote the retention and recruitment of young professionals in the Lewiston-Auburn area, provide educational opportunities on the process of political engagement, and set an agenda for local action. Our meetings are held at a different eatery in downtown to help support our commitment to downtown. Please contact the co-chairs for upcoming meeting dates.
